LOS ANGELES, Calif. – March 20, 2012 – Teledyne Microelectronic Technologies, a business unit of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated, announced today it has expanded the Parts Manufacturing Approval (PMA) for their ALPHABEAM® LED Aircraft Landing/Taxi lights to include Hawker Beechcraft King Air models, and several Bellanca model aircraft.
The ALPHABEAM® has been very successful in the General Aviation market. It incorporates the latest solid state LED technology and is designed for high reliability and long life. Teledyne first introduced the popular ALPHABEAM® LED Landing/Taxi light in November 2010, leveraging over a decade of LED integration experience with highly efficient patented optical systems. The ALPHABEAM® is a PAR 36 (4.5”) LED drop-in replacement for GE 4509, 4587, 4591, 4594, 4596 and 4313 lamps.
The ALPHABEAM® has PMA for over 380 models in the General Aviation aircraft category. The new additions include Hawker Beechcraft King Air models C90, C90A, C90GT, E90, F90, 200, 200T, 200C, 200CT, B200; Bellanca models 260, 300 (17-30, 17-31, 17-31TC), 300A (17-30A, 17-31A, 17-31ATC); as well as the Cessna 180E.
